The surgeon’s house in Pollença, slowly learning to inhabit itself again.
Beyond the walls rises Sierra de Tramuntana — the landscape UNESCO chose to protect.
The table begins with what the garden brings — greens and edible flowers cut at first light, cheeses and fruit from Pollença’s Sunday market. Before the house wakes, Chef Tina is already at the oven: loaves of xeixa, Mallorca’s ancient wheat, and activated charcoal bread; cakes pulled out still warm; jams cooling on the stove in small glass jars.
Then the day opens. A bicycle leaning by the door, the slow climb toward Lluc. Pollença’s golf course, hidden among pines. And, for those who ask, the waters of Cala en Feliu and Cala Castell.
What remains is the simplest thing, and the rarest: a table, notes of rosemary and jasmine — and the time to stay.
